I voted for the amendments to tighten up holes in the Safety of Rwanda Bill - those amendments failed. I did so as I believed my constituents in Broxtowe deserve a Bill that is tougher than ever before on illegal migration. I still believe this to be true.
This week there was some potentially confusing information issued regarding the future of Beeston Farmer’s Market. I have sought urgent clarification from Broxtowe Borough Council and they have issued me with the following statement:
This morning I attended an incredibly important speech given by the Secretary of State for Defence, Grant Shapps. The speech laid out the emerging threats we, as a country are facing.
Many thanks to Two For Tea for hosting Stapleford Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club, who I joined recently. Every 2nd Saturday of the month they meet at 9:30am and all Veterans are welcome. I always hugely enjoy meeting with Members of the Stapleford Combined Services Club.
We are currently in the middle of the 16 Days of Action to end domestic violence against women and girls. This period lasts from White Ribbon Day on 25th November until International Human Rights Day on 10th December.
