Today I raised the issues we have with potholes in Parliament. We have issues with potholes across Broxtowe in Beeston, Stapleford, Strelley, Nuthall and Kimberley to name a few of the areas I am contacted about. You can watch me raising this problem in the House of Commons below.
I recently met with the Chancellor to raise various issues that I often discuss with constituents. A few of the topics discussed were: taxation, school funding, healthcare and roads, particularly potholes.
This morning I met with some of the Friends of Beeston Station. We discussed the new work to install lifts at the Station thanks to the Government's 'Access for All’ Scheme and spoke with the Site Manager regarding any points that needed clarifying, such as disabled parking.

Today I was delighted to witness the start of the work needed to install lifts at Beeston Station. It is a project I embarked on very soon after becoming the Member of Parliament for Broxtowe and I know it was something that my predecessor had previously worked on.
Today I spoke in the Chamber about the recent flooding we have had in Broxtowe. A number of constituents have raised that although they did receive support through the Government's flood relief schemes, they could only claim for damage following one storm.
