Broxtowe will be entering Tier 3 measures on Thursday 29th October at 00:01AM.
As I am sure you have all seen, the coronavirus rate in parts of Nottinghamshire, including Broxtowe, is worryingly high. It is therefore imperative that we do everything we can to ensure we have enough beds free in our Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and take sensible precautions as individuals to control this terrible virus.
Of particular concern is the increasing rates amongst over 60s and I urge everyone to play their full part in following the guidance so that we keep local people and jobs as safe as possible.
I understand that there will be many concerns about going into Tier 3, especially regarding the impact on local businesses and people's mental health. I share these concerns and will keep you updated on the specific measures and packages of support that will be formally announced tomorrow.
