Two Years ago a constituent from Beeston, Aaron, came to speak with me at a surgery in Stapleford. He told me that his wife, Bernadette, had tragically passed away in childbirth and he had not qualified for leave from work as he had not been there for the required length of time.

I was determined this would change. Today the Paternity Leave (Bereavement) Bill passed its final stage in the commons.

Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported the Bill along the way! 💪🏿
